Later Gehna and Vasant are shown to develop feelings for each other and Vasant also defends his wife in front of his mother when required.When Suguna gets ready to leave for her husband’s home, her husband dies at the hands of some bandits. All emotions change, and Gehna agrees to deliver the child. It is then revealed that Gehna is pregnant with Vasant’s child. After a lot of resistance, Kalyani Devi threatens to throw Gehna out of the house. Gehna (Neha Marda) is the second wife of Vasant.Vasant gets married to Gehna, a much younger girl, who rebels against her mother-in-law.
Bhairav and his wife, Sumitra (Smita Bansal), have two kids, Jagdish and his sister Suguna (Vibha Anand). She has two sons, Bhairav (Anup Soni) and Vasant (Satyajit Sharma). Kalyani is a widow with high regard for rituals and superstitions. The show is set up in rural Rajasthan emphasizing the practice of child marriage showing Anandi (Avika Gor), a young girl married to Jagdish (Avinash Mukherjee), the only grandson of Kalyani Devi (Surekha Sikri) also called Dadisa and Maasa. She wants to take Sumitra’s place in the house as Anandi’s mother-in-law. It is shown that a new character,Teepri(Sakshi Tanwar)comes and she is childhood friends of Bhairon and Vasant. Kalyani realises her love for Anandi and thanks all the people of her village who helped her family in the difficult period of time.But apart from being well Anandi becomes mentally weak. Later it has been shown that she comes back to life in hospital. The show has taken a dramatic turn and time will tell whether Anandi will come back or not. Anandi finds him out and has been shot by a goon while trying to save Jagdish and declared dead by the hospital authorities.
Meanwhile,when both Jagdish and Anandi’s examination results are out.It is declared that Jagdish has come first.They all happily celebrate on it but is revealed that Jagdish has only scored 40% and he has lied this by making a false report card with the help of one of his friends,Haria.This infuriates Bhairon and he punishes him for it.But in fear of insult from friends Jagdish runs away with his friend,Haria to Mumbai.While going,he lefts a mobile for Anandi,with that all come to know where he is and Bhairon,Anandi and Shyam go in search of him.A goon kidnaps Jagdish.
